I'm a 30 year old career Civil Servant who is about to start a PhD in English Literature, focusing on the creation of political language in fiction. With 7 years experience of working in Government, I bring a practical, in depth knowledge of UK politics and law to complement my graduate degree in the subject. My political interests have been focused on the rhetoric and language of politics, and again this complements my strong personal interest and undergraduate study of English Literature. Based near Kennington, I can travel on either the tube, or any mainline trains to the South and South West of London.

I always seek to find the things that really grab people with each subject; this varies from student to student, but is crucial, as it gives the motivation to persevere. I use a variety of techniques including flashcarding and verbal quizzes to ensure that subject knowledge is satisfactory, and then complement this with a close scrutiny of exam and essay technique.
