About Me

My area of interest is in helping people develop their creative skills in writing and use of film - both creatively and in business.

I am an experienced screenwriter for film and TV, film producer and script consultant. I run Fluid Eye Productions, a BAFTA award winning film and training company in Edinburgh. For over 7 years I have also been a passionate educator. I designed and deliver one of Scotland's most successful screenwriting courses through University of Edinburgh, and also teach community education classes in scriptwriting and film for City of Edinburgh Council and Stevenson College.

I am currently Lead Practitioner for Moving Image Education in Scotland, a consultancy role to Creative Scotland. I have worked with Learning & Teaching Scotland, local authorities and schools to educate young people in moving image literacy as part of the Curriculum for Excellence.

My approach to education is always student-focussed: targeting training to the individual or group's needs. I believe it is important to create an environment of support and safety for students to explore their learning and skills.

As well as creative writing and filmmaking for individuals, I am also interested in helping businesses to understand and use the power of film and moving images (presentations, online, interactivity) to push out their important messages in accessible ways.
